1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using WhoWereYou you accept these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with all community guidelines.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to use the service. We may request additional verification at any time and reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this rule.
3. User Responsibilities
Do not share identifiable information about others, including full names, phone numbers, or social handles. Do not engage in harassment, threats, or hateful conduct. Never use WhoWereYou for stalking or malicious tracking.
4. Safety Notice
WhoWereYou is anonymous. We do not verify user identities. Exercise caution when interacting with others and immediately report any unsafe behaviour.
5. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant WhoWereYou a license to display and moderate your content. WhoWereYou has ZERO TOLERANCE for objectionable content including but not limited to: sexually explicit material, nudity, violence, harassment, hate speech, illegal activity, spam, or content that promotes harm. Any such content will be immediately removed and the account permanently banned. We may remove any post that violates community rules.
6. Abusive Users
WhoWereYou has ZERO TOLERANCE for abusive users. This includes but is not limited to: users who harass, threaten, stalk, bully, or intimidate others; users who create multiple accounts to evade bans; users who impersonate others; or users who engage in any form of abuse. Abusive users will be permanently banned and may be reported to law enforcement.
7. Enforcement & Reporting
We may remove content, suspend accounts, or escalate to authorities when required. Reports are reviewed in good faith and deliberate misuse of reporting tools may lead to suspension.
8. Location Use
Location data is used only to show approximate sightings nearby. Exact GPS coordinates are never shared with other users.
9. Paid Features
If paid features are introduced they will be non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
10. Privacy
All data is processed according to our Privacy Policy. By using WhoWereYou you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or our Safety Guidelines.
